ComCept’s new Data Maintenance and document upload in Document Generation have arrived!
Data Maintenance:
Along with containing the majority of the current functionality we have added some new features. These include Price Profile/Customer Special Pricing maintenance, Attribute maintenance for customers and items, and the ability to schedule the uploads. We have added new fields to the customer and item maintenance downloads that were not available in the previous version. Two spreadsheets types not currently available in this new version are the PricePro update and Inventory add templates. These will be added in the near future. The previous version of data maintenance is still 100% functional until we have all its features added to this new version.
Data Maintenance security warning: This new version of Data Maintenance is embedded within the ComCept.net application and not separately installed. A new permission is required to access the new version. The permission is DM_View. We cannot stress enough the importance of making sure only the users you want to have access to this have this new security permission. The first time the new Data Maintenance is accessed you will be prompted to accept the user agreement. There is help documentation located here: http://doc.comcept.net/New-Data-Maintenance.ashx. Please take some time to look over this documentation prior to its use. We will be making the new Data Maintenance link available in ComCept Utopia on 1/18/2016 so you have some time to get your security setup and have a chance to read the help documentation.

Document upload for Document Generation:
The document upload feature in Document Generation allows users to upload any number of POs, RGPOs and Transfers on a single upload. This feature allows the user to enter costs or allow the system to generate the cost for you. All documents will appear in the Document Generation batch that it was uploaded into to allow for review and modifications. A new permission is necessary in order to access the feature, which is called InvDocumentBatch_ItemUpload. We have released code changes to address the following features and fixes:

Customer number in customer search – Add the ability to search by a customer’s number in all of the customer search drop-downs in ComCept .Net Thin Client.

Posted balance on screens – The new Potential Balance will be displayed on the POS screens if you are using the Credit Hold feature. The original Posted-only balance is displayed if you are not using the Credit Holds feature.

ComCept Mobile .Net now can be self-installed. Additionally, we have better tracking of users, which machines they are running on, how many simultaneous users are sharing a Mobile .Net instance. Please contact ComCept Support with questions about your implementation of ComCept Mobile .Net

Prevented closing a PO from multiple instances of ComCept .Net – There was a situation where two instances of ComCept .Net could close a PO and On Order amounts would be updated twice. Now a message will be displayed if the user tries to close an already-closed PO.

Saving a PO number on a posted Invoice – There was an issue that prevented PO numbers from being saved on a posted invoice if the transaction was a cash type terms code. The issue has been addressed and users should be able to save PO numbers on all posted Invoices now.

Time Clock Settings - We have made some of the Time Clock settings location-specific, meaning they can be different for each location. The settings are: 1) clock-in rounding, 2) clock-out rounding and 3) auto-adjust for lunch. All of the other Time Clock settings are company-wide.

Electronic Purchase Orders - Orders sent to ComCept from outside parties are now allowed to be taxable if necessary.

Distributor Count Sheets - Count Sheets now show On-Hand values and allow quantity entry when new items are added.

The PO/Xfer page now requires you to select a sending store on transfer orders and quick transfers before you are allowed to add items to the order.

We have successfully completed code release of ComCept .Net. Changes include:
Mobile .Net
We have fixed an issue where a new customer inventory was set up with a Customer Count Sheet containing 1,000+ items. This scenario would not upload without the fix.
A link has been added to the Sales Order screen to easily display a report that shows the status of the uploaded order on the server, including backorders. Users will see the link at the top of the Sales Order page for orders that have already been sent.
CollisionVend & CollisionScan
We have improved the speed and reliability of the inventory updates CollisionVend machines and CollisionScan stock rooms. This was in direct response to reports that changes to UPC codes were not updating machine inventory.
ComCept .Net Utopia
Thin Client security shows inherited and disinherited colors once again.
Icons in Document Generation have been improved.

Work Order Processing - A new column was added ("Repl"), indicating orders that came from Replenishment sources such as CollisionVend or CollisionScan.

CollisionLinx Orders - A Bin Name was added to the order list, indicating the vending machine or stock location

Customer Inventory - Added an Edit icon next to customer items, which allows you to set Replenishment Hold quantities. This enables you to suspend replenishment for a specified number of scans/vends, or halt replenishment altogether.

Customer Inventory: Manage Machine Inventory - Added a read-only coil-centric view, for those users who want to see machine inventory by coil instead of by item

Item Lookup - the default Purchasing UOM and minimum purchase quantity are now displayed
